Manakamana is located in Gorkha District of Nepal. It lies 12km south of the Gorkha Town. The temple Manakamana is situated 4,272 ft above the sea level. The meaning of Manakamana means mana means Heart and kamana means wish. The temple Manakamana is sacred place of Hindu Goddess Bhagwati an incarnation of Parvati. In earlier time the only way to reach at the top of the Manakamana temple was by trekking for more than 3hours but now People can enjoy the Cable car facility to reach at the top of Manakamana Temple. The temple is featured with four storied with tiered pagoda style roof which lies on a square pedestal. The temple roof was brass plated in 1996. People have believes that the goddess Manakamana full fill the desire of the people what they wishes, so many people came to visit the temple. The temple entry gate is in south west direction and is marked by one stone, which is the sacrificial pillar. While travelling through the cable car you can enjoy the beautiful view of Trishuli River and the village with green trees around it. You will just feel wow in cable by its view.
Early morning! Around 5Am you will be ready for Manakamana. After travelling for around 5/6 hours you will reached at Manakamana. Upon you arrival at Manakamana you can see the statue. You will receive the cable car ticket and proceed towards line to enter inside the cable car. When you reached at Manakamana temple you can see the handicraft, Gift which makes you remember of Manakamana. You can bring some of the worship material near the temple area and after you worship over there you will have lunch and proceed back to Kathmandu. While returning from Manakamana you can have some shopping over there. You will reached kathmandu at evening.
